All workshops include writing exercises so that participants will leave them having done some writing of their own.

Slam Poetry 101

This poetry workshop goes over the history of competitive/slam poetry and performance poetry. Participants will explore what makes a poem a “slam” poem and the power of sharing one’s story.

Femme Poets

Like many fields, poetry can often be male dominated, so this writing workshop is entirely focused on work produced by woman identifying / gender non-conforming poets.

Contemporary Poetry

This poetry workshop is an immersive experience in poetry as it is today and only includes poetry examples that were written/published after 2000.

All workshops can be adapted for time slots ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours and can be made suitable for any age level. All workshops can be held virtually via Zoom, as well.
